Dear Katy, ( I use this because the only people in my life to call me this are the ones who love me best and I guess I’m allowed to use it too), the world seems scary. Your dreams seem so big and unusual and ridiculous.

To all who mother this day in myriad ways, may your love be seen in all its shimmering beauty.

NEW year, same old me and while I’m far from perfect, I’m going into 2025 accepting that I’m good enough as I am.

The swallows return to our homeplace every year. Their arrival fills me with so much joy that I cry. I know that they will keep us company in the garden all summer.

I used to mourn the dark evenings coming in. I’d spend much of late summer looking for signs of the stirrings of the winter.
